Realme 9i Design.
The design of the 9i is eye-catching and you are not getting the previous bold-face design. Both the frame and back are made of plastic. Although the phone has a huge battery, you are getting a very lightweight handset. It also features a typical corner hole-punch selfie camera and a slightly thick bottom bezel. This 9i from Realme weighs 180 grams which will be easy to pocket, unlike the Realme 9 Pro which weighs 195 Grams.
Realme 9i Display.
The 6.6-inch FHD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate features a corner hole-punch selfie camera and a slightly thick bottom bezel. The 90Hz refresh rate and the 180 Hz touch sampling rate enable you to scroll the screen smoothly although it has been downgraded from the 120Hz on the Realme 8i. That difference isn’t all that noticeable because you are getting a display with very detailed features and the quality, in general, can be noticed.
Realme 9i Camera.
For the optics, the phone features a 50MP sensor aided by two 2MP sensors, one monochrome, and the other macro. Although the main camera produces binned 12.5MP shots, it blurs fine details too even in broad daylight. In low light, the phone will struggle to focus and shoot, but they end up looking over-brightened and grainy in many cases. The selfie camera provides for very detailed selfies and you will be amazed when using it for video calls. The Camera Performance of the Realme 9i is generally good and competes well with even flagship phones.
Realme 9i Performance.
The phone is brilliant when it comes to social media, streaming apps, and gaming. Of course, you are not paying for a flagship handset so don’t expect flagship-level visuals, but expect a good experience. The Snapdragon 680 used here isn’t an upgrade from the 678 used on the Redmi Note 10. But who do we blame? Maybe Qualcomm’s naming scheme. That is not a downgrade either. You won’t notice any laggings and the phone performs its duties smoothly.
Realme 9i Battery Life.
As for the battery life, the phone gets a 5000mAh capacity cell that lets you easily get through a day of screen action. If you don’t perform heavy duties like playing games on it, the 9i could easily take you up to 2 days of connectivity. The battery is backed up by a fast 33W charger in the box. It juices up the battery from 0% to full in an hour and can get you close to 60% in 30 minutes, which should be good if you are traveling or in the fields.
The performance of Realme’s 9i is way better than what we expected, here at LinkPhones Center
