Apple AirTag 2nd Generation 1-Pack Price in Kenya
The price in Kenya for the Apple AirTag 2nd Generation 1-Pack ranges from KES 5,999 to KES 8,999, depending on availability.
Second-Generation Ultra Wideband Technology
The AirTag features Apple’s second-generation Ultra Wideband chip. When the AirTag is within range, Precision Finding combines directional guidance, distance information, sound and haptic feedback to lead you towards the missing item.
Expanded Precision Finding requires a compatible UWB-equipped iPhone, including iPhone 15 or later, with certain models excluded.
Expanded Bluetooth Range
The upgraded Bluetooth chip improves the range at which an AirTag can be detected. When your item is farther away, the AirTag can communicate anonymously with nearby Apple devices participating in the Find My network. Its approximate location is then securely relayed to your Find My app.
AirTag does not contain conventional GPS or require a SIM card, mobile-data subscription or monthly tracking fee. Its effectiveness at longer distances depends on the presence of nearby devices connected to the Find My network.
Louder Built-In Speaker
The second-generation AirTag is 50% louder than its predecessor and can be heard from up to twice as far away. The distinctive new chime makes it easier to locate keys under a sofa, a wallet inside a bag or luggage in a crowded storage area.
Precision Finding on Apple Watch
You can also use Precision Finding directly from a compatible Apple Watch. This feature requires Apple Watch Series 9 or later, or Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later, running watchOS 26.2.1 or newer. It provides visual, audio and haptic guidance from your wrist.
Lost Mode and NFC Support
If an item cannot be found, you can activate Lost Mode through Find My. When the AirTag is detected by the network, its updated location can appear on your device.
A person who finds the item can tap the AirTag using an NFC-enabled smartphone to open the associated Lost Mode page. If you have provided contact information, the finder can use it to help return the item.
Share Item Location
Share Item Location lets you temporarily share the location of a missing AirTag with a trusted third party, including participating airlines. This can be helpful when recovering delayed or mishandled luggage.
The owner can stop sharing at any time, and the shared location automatically expires after seven days. Apple says more than 50 airlines can privately and securely accept Share Item Location links.
Privacy and Unwanted-Tracking Protection
AirTag is designed specifically for tracking objects rather than people or pets. Location history is not physically stored on the AirTag, while communication through the Find My network is anonymous and protected using end-to-end encryption.
The tracker also includes frequently changing Bluetooth identifiers and cross-platform unwanted-tracking alerts. These protections are designed to notify someone when an unfamiliar tracker appears to be moving with them.
Replaceable CR2032 Battery
The AirTag uses a user-replaceable CR2032 coin-cell battery. You can replace the battery yourself when it becomes depleted, eliminating the need to recharge the tracker or replace the entire device. Battery performance can vary according to usage, environmental conditions and the replacement-battery manufacturer.
IP67 Water and Dust Resistance
The Apple AirTag 2nd Generation carries an IP67 rating. Under controlled laboratory conditions, it can withstand submersion in water to a maximum depth of one metre for up to 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for everyday use around splashes, dust and light rain, although resistance may decrease through normal wear.
Compact and Accessory-Friendly Design
The AirTag measures approximately 31.9 mm in diameter, is 8 mm thick and weighs only 11.8 grams. The second-generation model retains the original AirTag form factor, making it compatible with existing AirTag key rings, loops and protective holders.
Easy One-Tap Setup
Setting up an AirTag is simple. Bring it near a compatible iPhone or iPad, follow the on-screen prompt and assign it to an item such as Keys, Backpack or Luggage. The tracker will then appear under the Items tab in the Find My app.
The new AirTag requires an Apple Account and an iPhone running iOS 26 or later, or an iPad running iPadOS 26 or later. Find My must be enabled for the relevant tracking features.
