The DJI Neo 2 is an upgraded, compact FPV-style “selfie” drone that’s built to deliver cinematic video, smart tracking and intuitive controls all in a lightweight, highly portable package. Weighing around 151 g, it stays well under the 250 g class, making it easy to carry and fly almost anywhere.
The drone’s camera packs a 12 MP 1/2‑inch CMOS sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, capable of shooting in 4K at 60 fps and even in 4K up to 100 fps for slow-motion. Its 2‑axis mechanical gimbal stabilizes both tilt and roll, giving you smooth, professional-looking footage. It also supports vertical video recording (2.7K), a plus for social media creators.
Flight-wise, the Neo 2 offers up to 19 minutes of airtime on a full charge, and its performance is boosted by a 1,606 mAh battery. To keep things safe and smart, it includes omnidirectional obstacle sensing, using a combination of LiDAR, vision sensors, and infrared to avoid collisions from many directions.
One of the Neo 2’s standout features is its gesture, voice and mobile-app control. You can pilot it without a remote, using simple hand gestures or voice commands. But if you want more precision, you can plug in a DJI RC‑N3 / RC 2 controller or go full FPV with goggles and the motion controller.
When it comes to tracking, the Neo 2 supports ActiveTrack with a top track speed of ~12 m/s, and can follow you in eight directions (forward, backward, left, right and diagonals) for fluid, dynamic shots. It also supports a “Return to Palm” feature to land safely in your hand.
For storage, the drone includes 49 GB of internal memory, so you can save a lot of footage without needing an SD card. Connectivity includes GPS, BeiDou, and Galileo for reliable positioning, and it resists wind up to around 10.7 m/s (Level 5 wind resistance).
Overall, the DJI Neo 2 delivers a strong mix of portability, video quality and user-friendly flying, making it a great choice for travelers, vloggers, beginners or anyone who wants to capture aerial content in a compact form.
