Specifications & Features

Google Assistant Built-In

The Google Nest Mini 2nd Generation comes with Google Assistant built-in, allowing users to interact with the speaker through voice commands.

Simply say "Hey Google" or "OK Google" to activate the assistant and request supported information or actions.

You can ask Google Assistant about the weather, set timers, check your calendar, create reminders, play music and control compatible smart home devices.

Available commands and services may vary by country, language and connected service.

Improved Sound with Twice the Bass

The Google Nest Mini 2nd Gen features an improved speaker system that delivers twice the bass of the original Google Home Mini.

This enhancement provides fuller low-frequency sound for music, podcasts, radio and everyday audio playback.

Despite its compact size, the Nest Mini offers a convenient listening experience for bedrooms, kitchens, desks and smaller living spaces.

40mm Speaker Driver with 360° Sound

The Nest Mini uses a 40mm speaker driver designed to distribute sound through a 360° audio system.

This configuration helps make music, spoken responses and other audio content audible from different positions around the speaker.

The speaker is suitable for casual music listening, voice assistance and everyday household audio.

Three Far-Field Microphones

The Google Nest Mini features three far-field microphones designed to recognise voice commands from different locations within a room.

This microphone arrangement helps Google Assistant respond to supported requests without requiring users to stand directly beside the speaker.

Voice recognition performance can vary depending on background noise, speaking distance and room acoustics.

Voice Match Personalisation

The Nest Mini supports Google Voice Match technology, allowing Google Assistant to recognise different enrolled voices.

With Voice Match configured, the assistant can provide supported personalised information, such as calendar events and reminders, for recognised users.

Personalised results require appropriate account settings, and availability depends on supported services and regions.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi Connectivity

The Google Nest Mini 2nd Gen supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.

Wi-Fi connectivity allows the speaker to access supported online services, respond to Google Assistant requests and stream compatible audio content.

A stable internet connection is required for most Google Assistant and streaming functions.

Bluetooth 5.0 Connectivity

The Nest Mini includes Bluetooth 5.0 for supported wireless audio connections.

Users can connect compatible Bluetooth devices for audio playback after completing the necessary pairing process.

This provides additional flexibility for listening to audio from compatible smartphones, tablets and other devices.

Chromecast Built-In

With Chromecast built-in, the Google Nest Mini supports casting audio from compatible apps and devices over a connected network.

Users can select supported content on their smartphone and send it to the Nest Mini for playback.

Chromecast functionality also supports integration with compatible Google audio devices and speaker groups.

Music, Podcasts and Radio Streaming

The Google Nest Mini supports playback from compatible music, podcast and radio services.

Using Google Assistant, you can request songs, playlists, artists and other supported audio content through voice commands.

Streaming service availability, subscription requirements and supported features depend on the provider and region.

Smart Home Device Control

The Nest Mini can be used to control compatible smart home devices through Google Assistant.

With supported devices connected to your Google Home setup, you can use voice commands to manage compatible smart lights, plugs, switches, thermostats and other connected accessories.

For example, users can request that compatible lights be turned on or off without manually operating a switch.

Device compatibility and supported commands depend on the manufacturer and integration.

Multi-Room Audio Support

The Google Nest Mini supports multi-room audio when configured with compatible Google speakers and audio devices.

Users can create supported speaker groups through the Google Home app to play audio across multiple rooms.

This makes it possible to extend music playback beyond a single speaker in compatible home audio setups.

Google Home App Setup

The Google Nest Mini is configured using the Google Home app on a compatible Android or iOS device.

The app guides users through connecting the speaker to Wi-Fi, linking their Google Account and configuring supported services.

Once configured, the speaker can respond to supported Google Assistant commands and work with compatible connected devices.

Capacitive Touch Controls

The Nest Mini features capacitive touch controls that allow users to manage supported audio functions directly from the speaker.

Touch-sensitive areas provide convenient access to volume adjustment and playback controls.

This allows users to operate basic speaker functions without always using voice commands or a smartphone.

Dedicated Microphone On/Off Switch

The Google Nest Mini includes a physical microphone on/off switch for users who want direct control over microphone availability.

Switching the microphones off prevents the speaker from listening for voice activation until the microphones are enabled again.

This provides a straightforward privacy control for everyday use.

Quad-Core 64-bit ARM Processor

The Nest Mini features a quad-core 64-bit ARM processor running at 1.4GHz.

It also includes a high-performance hardware machine-learning engine designed to support on-device processing capabilities.

This hardware contributes to the speaker's voice recognition and smart assistant functionality.

Compact and Lightweight Design

The Google Nest Mini measures approximately 98 × 98 × 42mm and weighs just 181g.

Its compact circular design makes it easy to position on bedside tables, kitchen counters, shelves, desks and other small surfaces.

The minimalist appearance allows it to fit into different home and office interiors without occupying much space.

Built-In Wall Mount

The Nest Mini includes an integrated wall-mounting feature, allowing users to position the speaker on a suitable wall fixture.

Wall mounting can help save desk or counter space and provides additional placement flexibility.

Users should ensure the mounting surface and fixture are suitable for secure installation.

Fabric Cover Made from Recycled Plastic

The Google Nest Mini features a fabric top made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

Its external enclosure also incorporates recycled plastic materials, reflecting Google's use of recycled content in the product's construction.

The fabric-covered design gives the speaker a clean appearance suitable for modern home and office environments.

15W External Power Adapter
